Purrfume is a house of fragrance founded in 2011 by Lord Percival Tumbleton, who believed that the smells of a cat’s daily life deserved the dignity of a flacon. Our compositions are devised by Master Perfumer Aurelien Mewlet and Nez Céleste Whiskerton, working from a laboratory above a fishmonger on Silk Street, a location chosen entirely for research.
We make eight fragrances, each a meditation on a moment: the warmth of a laptop, the hour of the tuna, the corrugated stillness of a box. Every flacon is hand blown, every cork is hand pushed off a shelf, and every customer is treated as though they have a very particular nose, which, being cats, they do.
